My journey as a UX/UI designer started a couple of years ago. I was studying law at the Buenos Aires University but I felt that it was not my future, it did not make me feel that I was really making a positive impact as I had imagined as a child.
I decided to direct my path towards a more creative one that would have a more visible impact on people. This is how I came across UX/UI design, it was the way to unite all the things that caught my attention in a single discipline.
At Acamica, a tech and design academy in Argentina, I had my first approach to user experience design. In there I learned the key concepts that make up both the UX and UI areas, including some UX writing.
When I moved to Amsterdam last year I decided it was a good time to look for an international certificate so I enrolled at the UX Design Institute. My main objective with this second course was to acquire better design skills since until that moment the knowledge I had was self taught.
That's how I got to today, ready to start my first job. Even though I do not have an extensive list of work references related to UX/UI, I am a person who loves to learn and is able to pick up new skills easily. My experience in customer service allows me to have a better understanding of how to deal with users when it comes to knowing their needs, while my personal experience led me to have a connection and deep interest in accessibility.
